Ken Moran has many certifications from the National Fire Academy as well as the SC Fire Academy which is nationally accredited and recognized by the National Fire Academy.  He was an academy certified Firefighter instructor as well as being a PADI certified Openwater SCUBA Instructor.  His collegiate career boasts of more than four years in B.S. training in education, though his original major, marine biology, required him to train in chemistry, Calculus, biology and physiology.  He currently holds an OSHA certification (30hr) for Construction Safety.  He has experience as a Safety Manager in construction and industry.  Ken has also worked in film and TV for twenty years in addition to his emergency services career.

In the Fire and Rescue services (more than a decade of combined service), Ken was one of the few officers trained in high angle rescue and confined space rescue in the departments in which he served in several capacities including District Fire Chief .  He was also trained to teach CS Rescue by the SCFA.  He had a perfect safety record with the fire crews under his command.  He trained in various areas of rescue and safety for industry that prepared him for service to industry and construction.  Ken continues to promote and assist in the formation of local rescue squads and community emergency response teams.  He offers classes and coordination and formation session for these important local organizations.
